Choose the correct service

Say whether the job is regular residential, deep cleaning, Airbnb turnover, end-of-lease, office, commercial, NDIS or post-construction. These services have different expectations and should not be priced as if they were interchangeable.

Give the property details

Include suburb, bedrooms, bathrooms, additional living areas, stairs, balconies and any large or unusual spaces. For commercial sites, describe the approximate layout and how often cleaning is required.

Describe condition honestly

Mention heavy grease, pet hair, bathroom build-up, wall marks, construction dust, clutter or other factors that change the workload. Photos are often the simplest way to communicate condition without writing an essay.

Explain access and parking

Apartment buildings, loading zones, lifts, concierge access and restricted parking can change how long a job takes. Provide the access process before the cleaner arrives, but do not submit passwords or security codes through a public form.

State timing and priorities

Give the required date, any hard deadline and the areas that matter most. For end-of-lease or Airbnb work, include inspection or check-in timing. For recurring work, state the preferred frequency.

Know the difference between estimate and final quote

A calculator can provide an indicative range for straightforward work, but jobs with unusual condition, specialist requirements or site complexity may need manual review. A good final quote should reflect the agreed scope, not merely the number of bedrooms.

Need help with the actual clean?

Use the Starshine quote form with the service, suburb, property details and timing. Straightforward residential work may receive an indicative estimate; complex or site-based work is reviewed against the real scope before final pricing.
