Maintenance clean scope

General clean

A general clean is a maintenance clean for lived-in homes. It covers the main visible cleaning tasks needed to keep the property fresh, tidy and presentable. It does not include deep-detail or restoration-style items unless those are separately agreed.

Vacuum carpets and rugs
Mop hard floors
Clean mirrors
Empty bins and replace liners
Quick tidy and light declutter of visible areas
Kitchen: benchtops, splashback, sink and taps, stovetop, microwave, outside of cabinets and exterior of appliances
Bathrooms: toilet, vanity, sink and taps, mirrors, shower or bath light scrub and bathroom floor
Bedrooms and living areas: dust furniture, wipe visible surfaces, make beds on request and wardrobe exteriors if needed

Extra-detail items, deep-clean items and specialty tasks outside this base scope may be quoted separately.

Detailed reset scope

Deep clean

A deep clean is a more detailed one-off or occasional clean designed to bring a home back up to a better standard than a regular maintenance clean. It includes the main detail items usually left out of a general clean, but it is still not a full end-of-lease restoration clean.

Dust cornices and remove accessible cobwebs
Wipe window frames, ledges and sills that are safely reachable
Wipe doors, door frames and door handles
Wipe light switches and power points
Kitchen: benchtops, splashback, sink and taps, stovetop, microwave inside and out, outside of cabinets and exterior of appliances
Bathrooms: toilet, vanity, mirrors, sink and taps, shower and bath scrub, bathroom floors and outside of bathroom cabinetry

Deep clean scope is ideal for first visits, occasional resets and homes needing more attention than a regular clean. Specialty restoration items, high-risk tasks and internal-cabinet or oven work are separate unless specifically quoted.

Vacate / exit inspection scope

End of lease clean

An end-of-lease clean is a vacant-property detail clean aimed at presenting the home for exit inspection and handover. It is more intensive than both general and deep cleaning, with internal areas and detail items included as part of the scope.

Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors throughout
Spot clean walls where marks are removable without damage
Clean mirrors, glass and accessible interior window panes
Clean inside window tracks, sills and ledges where accessible
Wipe skirting boards, doors, door frames, handles, switches and power points
Dust cornices and remove accessible cobwebs
Kitchen: benchtops, splashback, sink and taps, stovetop and burners, rangehood exterior and filters, inside oven including trays and racks
Kitchen: clean inside and outside cupboards, drawers and other accessible storage areas if emptied
Bathrooms: toilet, vanity, sink and taps, mirrors, shower and bath scrub, shower screen, tiles, bathroom floor and accessible exhaust vent exterior dusting
Bathrooms: clean inside and outside bathroom cupboards and drawers if emptied
Bedrooms and living areas: vacuum, mop, mirrors, wardrobe exteriors and detail wipe-down of visible surfaces
Final presentation clean suitable for vacate inspection, subject to property condition and booked scope

Exterior windows or inaccessible high glass
Heavy wall washing, repaint-level mark removal or damage repair
Blinds, shutters, balconies, garages, patios and outdoor pressure cleaning unless separately quoted
Mould remediation, grout restoration, silicone replacement or pest-related contamination
Rubbish removal, abandoned goods removal and hazardous waste
Properties with excessive damage, heavy buildup, hoarding or biohazards unless separately assessed

End-of-lease cleaning assumes the property is vacated and cupboards, drawers and storage areas are emptied for access. Extra-condition work, external areas, steam cleaning and damage-related cleaning may require separate pricing.

Guest-ready turnover scope

Airbnb / short-stay turnover clean

An Airbnb turnover clean is a guest-ready reset between stays. It focuses on presentation, hygiene, bed turnover, consumable checks and quick reporting so the property is ready for the next check-in.

Included

Pre-arrival visual check and report of obvious damage, missing items or guest left-behinds
Empty bins, replace liners and remove leftover rubbish
Vacuum, sweep and mop floors throughout
Dust and wipe visible furniture and surfaces
Clean high-touch points such as handles, switches, remotes and handrails
Kitchen: clean benchtops, splashback, sink and taps, stovetop, microwave, fridge check for leftovers and wipe appliance exteriors
Wash and put away used dishes or reset dishwasher as needed
Bathrooms: clean toilet, vanity, mirrors, sink and taps, shower and bath and bathroom floors
Strip used bed linen and remake beds with fresh linen supplied by host
Reset bedrooms and living areas neatly for guest presentation
Place fresh towels and reset guest presentation items as instructed
Restock host-supplied essentials such as toilet paper, soap, dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee or other agreed consumables
Take after photos and report damage, missing items or maintenance issues promptly

Separate quote items

Onsite washing, drying or ironing of linen
Deep oven cleaning, wall washing or full end-of-lease style detail work
External windows, balconies, BBQs, pools or outdoor maintenance unless separately quoted
Heavy stain treatment, mould remediation, pest cleanup or hazardous waste
Shopping or supply purchase unless separately arranged
Guest communication or property management services unless specifically agreed

For short-stay turnovers, Starshine can strip and reset beds with clean host-supplied linen. We do not do onsite Airbnb laundry washing, but linen drop-off and pick-up from a laundry service can be arranged as an add-on if required.

Ongoing household support scope

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is an ongoing home-support service that combines regular cleaning with practical household help. It is designed for busy homes that need more than a standard clean and may include laundry, tidying, bed changes and basic meal prep assistance.

General maintenance cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
Dusting, wiping surfaces, vacuuming and mopping
Tidying and resetting visible areas of the home
Making beds and changing sheets
Laundry support including washing, drying, folding and putting away clothes or linen
Changing towels and basic linen rotation
Ironing if agreed
Kitchen reset including dishes, wiping benches, sink and light fridge or pantry tidy
Organising cupboards, wardrobes, linen cupboards or laundry areas at a light household level
Basic meal preparation and cooking help such as chopping, prepping ingredients, simple family meals, lunchboxes or kitchen support tasks
Taking bins out and keeping household areas neat and serviceable
Other light household assistance specifically agreed in advance

Separate quote items

Deep cleaning, end-of-lease cleaning or restoration cleaning
Specialist dietary meal planning, chef-style service or bulk catering
Childcare, babysitting, nursing, personal care or medication handling
Heavy lifting, furniture moving, ladder work or high-risk tasks
Outdoor gardening, pressure washing or trade or maintenance work
Handling cash, private errands or shopping unless specifically agreed
Hazardous cleaning, mould remediation, pest contamination or biohazards

Housekeeping is tailored around what the household needs most. Cooking help is positioned as basic home-support meal prep and simple cooking assistance, not a private chef or care-service role unless separately quoted.

Add-ons, specialty tasks, restoration work, excess-condition cleaning and site-specific requirements can be priced separately once the job is reviewed.

Scope is confirmed at booking

The final service booked is based on the agreed scope, property condition, access and any items disclosed before the job is scheduled.
